Life Groups are  intentional and consistent communities
where we can share life with each other and
help each other: be with, become like, and love like Jesus....together.

At Crossroads we want every single person to have a Christian community. As the church continues to grow, intimate community shrinks.  Life Groups is how we try to set each other up to

We were not meant to do this life alone. It is no surprise that when the world has never felt more lonely, the world has never been as anxious or depressed. Why? Because we were created to do life....together! God created us to live life within the context of community: people to laugh with, comfort, challenge, listen to, show up for,  encourage, support, text, correct, grieve with, eat with, share with, pray with, study with, make disciples with, confess to, grow with, serve with, and did we say laugh with?

Friends // Community // Family // Tribe // Circle // Church

Call it what you want - you were made for it.

You become like the people you are around. God made us that way.  So surround yourself with a group of people trying to be with, become like, and love like Jesus....together.

FAQ's

Can I choose who I'm in a group with?
You can!

When registering you have the option to:
  1. Register solo (or as a couple) and be paired with who we think you will fit best with.
  2. Register with 3-6 friends (we recommend this because it helps relationships be more natural).
  3. Register as an entire group (8-12) people.
How many people are in a group?
We believe that 8-10 is the ideal size, but some groups range from 6-12 people.

What types of groups are there?
There are several types of groups:
  • Traditional Groups have a variety of ages, marital status', and genders while still formed in a way that we try to make sure everyone can connect well.
  • Men's Groups
  • Women's Groups
  • Young Adult/College Age Groups
Where do groups meet?
Most groups meet in homes, and that is our recommendation! We believe this is most natural environment for relationships and personal discipleship (we also recommend eating some food!).

Some groups will opt to meet at the church, however space is extremely limited on Wednesday nights.
When do groups meet?
It is up to your group!

The most common meeting times are Wednesday and Sunday evenings, however some groups meet on Fridays and other's Saturday mornings.

It is totally up to your group. We ask what days work best for you during registration so we can try to pair you with a group that fits your rhythm of life!
Is there childcare?
We provide childcare on Wednesday evenings at the church from 6pm-8pm for 1 year-olds through 5th graders! This is the same timeframe as youth group at the church for 6th-12th graders.

If you want to take advantage of childcare, then your group will need to meet on Wednesday evenings!
What does a "host" do?
The host is someone who opens their home for the group to meet in. They are not responsible for providing food or leading discussion Those responsibilities should be shared by the group.
How long do Life Groups last?
We ask you to commit one semester at a time!

The first semester is around Labor Day-Thanksgiving.
The second is January-April.

Exact dates will vary, and it is up to the discretion of each group on when you take week's off! We do recommend that you do at least one fun night and one serve night per semester!
What kind of studies do we do?
That is up to the group! Groups can pick from a range of different study content and styles like: Rightnow Media video studies, studying a book of the Bible together, a book study with a companion guide, sermon discussion, etc.
